Five for...Family Organizers
School started today and I have been busy preparing. Last week I finally took a few days and put together my Family Organizer. This is a notebook filled with all kinds of good information we need to help us live a more peaceful, less stressed lifestyle. I found a project notebook at a local stationary shop which had 5 section dividers and looseleaf paper already included. The front has a plastic sleeve for the project title page. I chose a scrapbooking paper from a craft shop for my cover. I chose this paper because it has many words which describe what we are trying to accomplish by organizing our family including: peace, good fortune, harmony, beauty and happiness. You can personalise your own organizer using any type of folder or cover that inspires and speaks to you.
The 'FO' currently has six sections:
1. Schedules:
- A Master weekly schedule to tell us where every member of our family is expected to be on a given day
- My husband's work schedule
- Monthly calendars for the next 4 months
- List of our family's Saint's Days
- Monthly list of birthdays/anniversaries
- Monthly Menu Plan (5 weeks)
- This week's menu plan
- Recipes for this week
- My children's school lunch menus
- Forms from any activities/clubs we are involved in
- Schedules from above clubs
- Weekly Plan
- FLYlady Commandments
- Morning/Afternoon/Bedtime Routines
- Daily Chores Lists
- List of Cleaning Zones to focus on
5. Inspiration:
- A place where I can keep various thoughts, pictures, articles etc that inspire me in my Homemaking
- Flyers and forms that need our attention
